Dear Kristine,

Love your blog. Kim and I are the owners of Sit & Knit, A Yarn Cafe, in downtown South Bend. And, yep, you're right -- Stephanie Pearl-McPhee is coming to the shop between ten and noon on Sunday to autograph copies of YARN HARLOT. We're also having a drawing at noon so one lucky knitter will be joining Stephanie, Kim and me at The Vine at 6:30 Sunday night for dinner. Because I enjoy your blog, and because you're local, I thought it might be fun for you to pull the name of the winner out of the knitting basket. Of course we'll plug your blog. Drop me an e-mail if you're interested. You can e-mail me at sitnknitcafe@yahoo.com or directly at jolesker@24-7productions.net. We're expecting strong media coverage. We hope to see you on Sunday.

Best,

Jack

Yay! You're going to be at Sit & Knit tomorrow, too! I was wondering when I'd get to see you again. It's going to be so much fun to meet Stephanie!

Kim and I so enjoyed the evening you spent with Stephanie Pearl-McPhee (the Yarn Harlot) and us. I must say we had a fabulous two days with Stephanie -- great conversation and many laughs. It was so kind of her to take a detour from Chicago to come up to Sit & Knit in South Bend for a book signing -- though I confess I shamefully dangled her spending two nights in our guest house, enjoying blazing fires in our fireplace and the sound of crickets to lull her to sleep in order to accomplish the task. I drove Steph back to Chicago this morning and when I dropped her at O'Hare I was fairly confident she'd enjoyed her time with us as well. And then she got on the plane...!!! YIIIIIIIIIIII!!! Read the latest entry on her YARN HARLOT blog and you'll see what I mean. Anyway, all's well that ends well -- she's back with her treasured Joe and we all have pleasant memories to look back on. Next time she comes out here, though, I just may have to charter a private jet for her!!!
